Pierre David Guetta was
born November 7, 1967 in France. Guetta became
renowned for his producing and DJ skills. Guetta
began his DJing at nightclubs during the 1980s in
Paris. In addition to several LP releases, Guetta
is known for his compilation LPs with the F***
Me I'm Famous title. As a producer, Guetta has
produced songs for Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida, Kelis, Akon, Kelly Rowland, Pitbull, Timbaland, and many others. In 2001,
Guetta founded Gum Productions with Joachim
Garraud. By the time US audiences became
aware of Guetta's name, he had already topped the
charts around the world.
July: Guetta's debut single
"Just A Little More Love" was a
moderate hit in the UK and France. A slew of
singles followed making the charts
internationally.
February: Guetta released the
single "Love Don't Let Me Go" and hit
the Top 10 in France and Belgium.
February 8: Guetta was nominated for
a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording
("Flashdance" (Guetta & Garraud
F*** Me I'm Famous Remix) with Joachim
Garraud).
August: The single mash-up
"Love Don't Let Go (Walking Away)" was
released and the Top 10 in the UK, Italy, Spain,
Hungary, and France.
June 9: Guetta topped the
Billboard Dance Airplay chart for 2 weeks with JD
Davis with "The World Is
Mine."
June 18: Guetta released Pop
Life.
The LP hit the Top 10 in France and Belgium.
September 29: Guetta topped the
Billboard Dance Airplay chart for 1 week with Chris
Willis with "Love Is Gone."
May 17: Guetta hit the ARC Weekly Top 40 with Chris Willis
with "Love Is Gone." The single hit #1
in Hungary, and the Top 10 in the UK, Belgium,
France, Spain, Sweden, and Russia.
June 29: Guetta topped the UK
singles chart for 1 week with Kelly Rowland with "When Love Takes Over." The single also
topped the charts in Belgium, Italy, Ireland,
Switzerland, and Hungary, and hit the Top 10 in
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France,
Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain,
Sweden, and Finland. .
August 21: Guetta released One
Love.
The LP topped the LP charts in France and
Belgium, and hit the Top 10 in Australia,
Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland,
and the UK.
August 23: Guetta topped the UK
singles chart for 1 week with Akon with "Sexy Bitch." The single also topped the
charts in Australia, Belgium, Germany, New
Zealand, Poland, and Canada, and hit the Top 10
in Holland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland,
and France.
June 12: Guetta topped the
Billboard Dance Club Play Songs chart for 1 week
with Chris Willis, Fergie, and LMFAO with "Gettin' Over You."
June 12: Guetta topped the UK
singles chart for 1 week helping out David
Guetta, Chris Willis
and Fergie with "Gettin' Over You." The single also
topped the charts in France and Scotland, and hit
the Top 10 in Australia, Austria, Hungary,
Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Poland,
August 21: Guetta topped the UK
single chart for 1 week helping out Flo Rida with "Club Can't Handle Me." The song also
topped the charts in Poland, Ireland, and
Scotland, and hit the Top 10 in Australia,
Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France,
Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, New
Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, and Norway.
October 16: Guetta hit the ARC Weekly Top 40with Kid
Cudi with "Memories." The single topped the charts
in Poland and hit the Top 10 in Australia,
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France,
Germany, Hungary, Ireland, New Zealand,
Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the UK.
January 8: Guetta hit the ARC Weekly Top 40with Rihannawith
"Who's That Chick?" The single topped
the charts in Slovakia and hit the Top 10 in
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Finland,
France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway,
Poland, Spain, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
May 28: Guetta hit the ARC Weekly Top 40 with Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj with "Where Them Girls At." The song topped the
charts in Denmark and hit the Top 10 in
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland,
