TIMELINE
B.o.B was born Bobby Ray
Simmons, Jr. in North Carolina on November 15,
1988. B.o.B began rapping when he was 13 and
formed a group called 'The Klinic' with his
cousin. By 2006, B.o.B's cousin went off to
college and B.o.B wet solo. He signed his first
major label record deal when he was 17 after
being snuck into a bar owned by T.I. and impressing a producer
with his rapping style.
May 1: B.o.B topped the
Billboard Hot 100 chart for 2 weeks, Digital
Songs chart for 2 weeks, and Digital Tracks chart
for 2 weeks with help from Bruno Mars with "Nothin' On You."
May 15: B.o.B topped the
Billboard 200 LP chart for a week, R&B/Hip
Hop Albums chart for 1 week, Rap Albums chart for
4 weeks, and Digital Albums chart for 1 week with
B.o.B
Presents: The Adventures Of Bobby Ray. The LP sold over 84,000
copies its first week of release in the US.
May 29: B.o.B topped the UK
singles chart for 1 week with "Nothin' On You." The single also hit
#1 in the Netherlands, and hit the Top 10 in
Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.
October 15: B.o.B topped the
Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart for
2 weeks and Rap Digital Songs chart for 2 weeks
with help from Lil Waynewith
