Keri Hilson hails from Atlanta, Georgia and was born
in 1982. As a teen, Keri performed in school plays
and talent shows, started writing songs by the age of
12, and joined a girl group called 'D'Signe'. Her
talents eventually led to arranging her won songs and
cutting vocals by the age of 18, and getting noticed
by producer Polow da Don - which led to a meeting and
eventual collaborations with Timbaland. Before breaking out on her
own as solo artist, Keri had become known as the
songwriter of many hits by top artists, and with
being featured on several tracks by hip-hop artists.
Keri could be heard helping out Xzibit
on his single "Hey Now (Mean Muggin)." The
single hit the Top 10 in the UK.
Keri could be heard helping out Lloyd Banks
with his single "Help."
Keri could be heard on the Rich Boy

and Dance Club Play charts, and made it to #2 in New
Zealand.

Offishall with his single "Numba 1
(Tide Is High)." The single did well in Germany
and Turkey.
Keri could be heard joining Chris Brown on his track
"Superhuman."
Keri released the single "Return The Favor"
which featured Timbaland which charted overseas but
failed to make waves in the US.
Keri hit the Top 40 with help from Lil Wayne with "Turnin Me On." The single hit the Top 2 on the
Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Keri released her debut LP In A
Perfect World... after a 2 year delay.. Entertainment
Weekly described the LP as "... a seductive
debut CD full of slick, radio-friendly cuts."

April 11: Keri topped the Billboard
R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for 1 week with In A
Perfect World....
Keri hit the Top 40 with help from Kanye West and Ne-Yo with "Knock You Down." The single went on to hit the
Top 10 in the UK, Japan, Ireland, Austria, Germany,
Switzerland, and #1 in New Zealand.
