Doja Cat was born Anaka
Ratna Zandile Dlamini on October 21, 1995 in
California.
- Doja Cat made and
released music on SoundCloud while still a teen
eventually landing a record deal by age 17
released her debut EP Purr! in 2014.

- March 28: Doja Cat hit the Top 10 with "Say So."
- March 31: Doja Cat became more
vocal about her plans on retiring for awhile from
music stemming from comments she made late in
2021. Scheduled dates for summer festivals and
performing as an open act would be cancelled.
April 18: Doja Cat topped the
Billboard Rhythmic Songs chart for 3 weeks with
"Say So."
- April 25: Doja Cat topped the
Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart for 12
weeks with "Say So."
- May 9: Doja Cat hit #1 for 4 weeks on the ARC Weekly Top 40 with "Say So."
- May 16: Doja Cat topped the
Billboard Hot 100 chart for 1 week, Digital Song
Sales chart for 1 week, Pop Songs chart for 6
