Limp Bizkit formed in 1994, hail
from Florida, and consist of Fred Durst on
vocals, We Borland on guitar, Sam Rivers on
bass, John Otto on drums and DJ Lethal. The
lucky break for the band came when Durst
struck up a friendship with Korn's Fieldy after giving
him a tattoo and later a demo tape. With a
mix of hard rock and hip-hop, Limp Bizkit fit
right in with the changing musical tastes of
the late 1990s.
Limp Bizkit released Three
Dollar Bill, Y'all.
Limp Bizkit toured as part of
the Warped and Ozzfest package tours and the
Family Values tour with Korn, Ice Cube,
and Orgy.
At the Billboard Music Video
Awards, Limp Bizkit won the Maximum Vision
Award for "Nookie" - a video
directed by Durst.
Limp Bizkit
began getting airplay for their version of George
Michael's "Faith."
Three
Dollar Bill, Y'all was certified
platinum.
Limp Bizkit released Significant
Other.
Significant
Other topped the Billboard
200 Albums chart for 4 weeks and the
Billboard Internet Album Sales chart for 3
weeks.
Durst was arrested in Minnesota
for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct
for allegedly kicking a security guard while
onstage performing. Charges were later
dismissed.
Limp Bizkit performed at
Woodstock '99. During the performance of
"Break Stuff" many fans started
destroying various structures around them as
well as throwing debris and objects -
eventually leading to a very unsettling
concert weekend that seemed to deteriorate
with each band.
Limp Bizkit were
nominated for 2 MTV Video Music
Awards for Best Group Video and Best Rock Video ("Nookie").
Limp Bizkit toured
again with the Family Values tour.
Limp Bizkit appeared on the End
Of Days soundtrack with
"Crushed."

Bizkit. We're doing what we wanna do and Napster has been an amazing
way to market and promote our music. It's
caused massive awareness."

Award for Best Rock Video ("Break
Stuff") and were nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video (with Method
Man for "n 2 gether now").

Limp Bizkit toured with Eminem, Papa Roach, and Xzibit
as part of the Anger Management tour. A few
performances had to be cancelled due to
Durst's throat problems.

Borland announced he had
amicably left Limp Bizkit.
Limp Bizkit released a
collection of remixed tracks - New
Old Songs.
Limp Bizkit won
an American Music

began a nation-wide search for a new
guitarist to replace Borland.

member, Mike Smith, as its new guitarist.

began touring with Metallica and Linkin Park as part of the 'Summer
Sanitarium Tour 2003.'
Limp Bizkit's new guitarist,
Mike Smith, hurt his back during a
performance in New York and was taken to the
hospital after the show.
Limp Bizkit performed in Chicago
as part of the 'Summer Sanitarium' tour but
left after 6 songs as the crowd through
objects and yelled profanities at Durst.
The next Limp
Bizkit LP, Results
May Vary, was released. 19 songs
originally planned for the LP were scrapped
in favor of new material with the new
guitarist.
Limp Bizkit was hit with a
lawsuit from 172 fans who attended a July
concert of the 'Summer Sanitarium'
performance and were upset when the band left
the stage after only 17 minutes of
performing.
