Harrison has stated that he has
been winning a struggle with throat cancer
since last summer. Harrison first noticed a
lump on his neck and the cancerous lump was
removed followed by radiation therapy.
Harrison said, "I'm not going to die on
you folks just yet. I am very lucky... It
reminds you that anything can happen...
that's the nature of life. Life... there's an
old saying... life is like a raindrop on a
lotus leaf."
Harrison his wife were attacked
in their London home by an intruder wielding
a knife - Harrison was stabbed and was in
stable condition. Harrison was stabbed 4
times in the chest and his wife suffered
minor head injuries. The man accused of the
stabbing was described as having mental
problems and an obsession with The
Beatles.
Harrison's attacker from last
December was found not guilty by reason of
insanity and sent to a psychiatric hospital.
All
Things Must Pass was certified 6x
platinum.
Harrison had a cancerous growth
removed from one of his lungs after what was
reported as a successful operation."
On November 29th, Harrison lost
his battle with cancer.
Harrison topped the Billboard
Internet Sales chart with All
Things Must Pass.
Harrison also topped the UK
Singles chart for a week and the Canadian
Singles chart with his classic "My Sweet
Lord."

posthumously was inducted into the Rock &
Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. Tom
Petty inducted
Harrison and said of the late performer:
"He was a man who lived every minute of
his life. He had a very keen sense of humor,
sense of spirit - years before Live Aid, he
invented the idea of rock and roll giving
back to the people."
