 Kenneth Arnold Chesney was born
on March 26, 1968 in Tennessee. Unlike most
of his peers in the music industry, Chesney
didn't become enamored in music until his
college years when he learned to play the
guitar and joined a bluegrass band. After
graduating college with an advertising
degree, Chesney moved to Nashville and
continued performing and writing his own
material. By the early 90s, Chesney landed a
record deal and released his debut LP, In
My Wildest Dreams.

 Chesney released In
My Wildest Dreams on an independent
label that soon went out of business. The LP
didn't sell well or result in major country
hits, but did get recognition from larger
record labels.
Chesney hit the country chart
with "The Tin Man" and
"Whatever It Takes."
Chesney hit the Top 10 on the
country charts for the first time with
"Fall In Love" and "All I Need
To Know."

 Chesney released All
I Need To Know.
Chesney hit the country charts
with "Grandpa Told Me So,"
"Back In My Arms Again," and
"Me And You."

 Chesney released Me
And You.
Chesney hit the country charts
with "When I Close My Eyes" and his
first #1 country song "She's Got It
All."

 Chesney released I
Will Stand.

Chesney hit the country charts
with "A Chance," "hat's Why
I'm Here," "I Will Stand," and
"Touchdown Tennessee."

Chesney and Tim McGraw were
arrested after the 'George Strait Country
Music Festival' in New York. McGraw was
arrested on assault charges after Chesney
asked to ride a sheriff's horse, then
allegedly refused to dismount, resulting in a
scuffle with McGraw joining in.

 Chesney released Greatest
Hits.

Chesney hit the country charts
with "The Tin Man" and #1 song
"Don't Happen Twice."

Chesney was acquitted of assault
charges (along with Tim McGraw) stemming from an
incident in June, 2000.
Chesney hit the country charts
with "Young," "Live Those
Songs," and the #1 song "The Good
Stuff."

 Chesney released No
