Alan Jackson was born on October
17, 1958 in Georgia. After taking work as a
car salesman and a construction worker,
Jackson found bigger success with country
singing. Hit start came when his wife gave Glen
Campbell a tape of Jackson which
eventually led to Jackson moving to Nashville
and signing with Arista Nashville in 1989.
Jackson's rise to stardom has included over
40 million LPs sold and 30 #1 hits on the
country charts.
