- Jason
Aldean was born Jason Aldine Williams on February
28, 1977, in Georgia. By his teen years, Aldean
was heavily focused on music - performing at
talent shows and fairs. With help and
encouragement from his family, Aldean also began
writing his own material. Aldean changed his name
to something he felt was more unique than 'Jason
Williams.' Aldean signed with Broken Bow Records
in Nashville and released his first single
"Hicktown" in 2005.

LP Jason
Aldean.
The set included the singles
"Hicktown," "Why," and
"Amarillo Sky" and hit the Top 10 on
the Billboard Country Album chart.
- May 27: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Songs chart for 1 week with
"Why."
- May 29: Aldean released Relentless. The LP contained the
singles "Johnny Cash," "Laughed
Until We Cried," and "Relentless."
- June 16: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Albums chart for 1 week with Relentless.
- April 7: Aldean released Wide
Open.
The set included the hits "She's
Country," "Big Green Tractor,"
"The Truth," and "Crazy Town"
and hit the Top 10 on the Billboard Country
Albums chart.
- April 25: The DVD Wide
Open Live & More was released.
- May 16: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Songs chart for 1 week with
"She's Country."
- March 12: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Songs chart with Kelly Clarkson for 3
weeks with "Don't You Wanna Stay."
- May 26: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Songs chart for 1 week with
"Fly Over States."
- March 21: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Airplay chart with "Just
Gettin' Started."
- March 31: Aldean could be heard on
the Ludacris LP Ludaversal on the track "Burning
Bridges."
- August 1: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Airplay chart with
"Tonight Looks Good On You."
- July 23: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Airplay chart with "Lights
Come On."
- October 1: Aldean topped the
Billboard 200 LP chart, Digital Albums chart,
Album Sales chart, and Country Albums chart with They
Don't Know.
- April 29: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Airplay chart with "Any
Ol' Barstool."
- October 1: Aldean was performing in
Las Vegas at the outdoor 'Route 91 Harvest
Country Music Festival' when a gunman fired on
the crowd killing over 50 people from the
Mandalay Bay hotel.
- May 5: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Airplay chart with "You
Make It Easy."
- August 31: Aldean topped the
Billboard Country Airplay chart with
"Rearview Town."
- December 7: Aldean topped the
Billboard Albums Sales chart and Country Albums
chart with 9.
