- Liam Payne was born on
August 29, 1993 in England. He's best known for
his being 1 of 5 members of the boy band One Direction before going solo in 2017.
Liam's time with the band allowed him to explore
and improve his vocals and song writing
abilities. He also had the opportunity to produce
under the names 'Big Payno' and 'Payno'.
- Liam auditioned for
the talent competition show in the UK - The X
Factor - at age 14, but was eliminated.
Judge Simon Cowell suggested Liam come back to
the competition in 2 years.
- Liam, again, auditioned for The
X Factor and again was eliminated and was
combined with 4 other eliminated contestants to
form a group to compete on the show. The result
was One Direction. The group came in third
but still had worldwide success with their
singles and albums.
- Liam signed a solo recording deal
with Capitol Records.
- January 5: Liam topped the Billboard
Dance Club Play Songs chart with Jonas
Blue and Lennon Stella
with "Polaroid."
- October 16: Liam died at age 31 after
falling from an Argentina hotel third floor
balcony.
