TIMELINE
Jason Mraz was born June
23, 1977 in Virginia. After studying musical
theater and briefly attending the American
Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, Mraz
continued his music interests and songwriting
until signing with Elektra Records in 2002. Prior
to his label signing, Mraz fine-tuned his music
in the local music spots of San Diego.
October: Mraz released Waiting
For My Rocket To Come. Rolling Stone
said of the LP: "Mraz swoops from lows to
highs and back again with a haunting poignancy
that simply makes you ache."
June: Mraz began opening for Alanis Morissette's 'Jagged Little Pill
Acoustic Tour.'
July: Mraz released Mr.
A-Z .
Rolling Stone wasn't too kind to the LP:

August: Mraz broke a record on
the Billboard Hot 100 chart when "I'm Yours" spent its 70th week on the
chart and broke the record for most weeks on that
chart.
January 21:Mraz topped the
Billboard Digital Songs chart for 1 week, Digital
Tracks chart for 1 week, and Rock Digital Songs
chart for 1 week with "I Won't Give Up."
