Leona Lewis was born April 3, 1985 in London. Leona became a break-out recording star after winning the British talent show The X Factor. Leona had already been attempting a music career with a demo record called Twilight she recorded as a teenager but was ready to give up her hopes of stardom until her boyfriend suggested she try out for The X Factor.

Leona was named the winner of the third season of The X Factor.
