 Good Charlotte consists of Joel
Madden on lead vocals, Benji Madden on vocals
and guitar, Billy Martin on guitar, and Paul
on bass and hail from Maryland. In the late
90s, twin brothers, Joel and Benji, along
with Paul began hitting the local music scene
and eventually got Billy into the band. Good
Charlotte's sound began to get noticed and
the band played on venues with Blink-182, Lit,
Bad Religion, Eve 6,
and Nine
Days. By 2000, the demo of "The
Little Things" was hitting the airwaves
in Philadelphia creating a strong buzz for
the band and leading to a recording contract
with Epic Records.

 Good Charlotte released
their debut LP - Good
Charlotte.

Good Charlotte
recorded a remake of "If You Leave"
for the film Not
Another Teen Movie.

Drummer Chris Wilson left the
band.
 On July 2nd, Good Charlotte
performed in Tokyo, Japan as part of the
worldwide Live
8 concerts. The mission of the
concerts was to raise awareness of the
on-going poverty in Africa and to pressure
the G8 leaders to take action by doubling
aid, canceling debt, and delivering trade
justice for Africa.
Good Charlotte performed on ReAct
Now: Music & Relief - a benefit
program shown on music video channels to
raise money for those affected by Hurricane
Katrina.
