Mario Winans musical heritage is
strong as a member of the Winans gospel
family and son of Vickie Winans and Marvin
Winans. From an early age, Mario was focused
on music, most notably percussion. Mario's
interest in music led to producing including
the production of a local gospel group's LP

school. Mario's production talents led him to
work with producer Dallas Austin and R.
Kelly. Recording his own music began
with Motown Records and then P.
Diddy's Bad Boy label. Over the
years, Mario "Yellow Man" Winans
had produced some of the biggest artists in
hip-hop and R&B including: Mary
J. Blige, Beyoncé
Knowles, Queen
Latifah, Brian McKnight, Tamia,
