Monica (Arnold) was born October
24, 1980, in Georgia. In the mid-90s, Monica
gave R&B a new young face with a mature
songstress attitude. But Monica's roots began
in the church, where she started singing at
the age of 4. At the age of 10, Monica
brought the house down with her rendition of
"Greatest Love Of All."
At the age of 12, Monica was
discovered by Dallas Austin at a talent show
in Atlanta, Georgia. The discovery led to a
record deal with Arista Records and Queen
Latifah as her manager.
