Lisa Loeb was born on March 11,
1968 in Maryland and raised in Texas. Lisa
first began performing when at Brown
University with her friend as 'Liz &
Lisa.' After graduating college, Lisa moved
to New York City and played solo in clubs.
Without a recording deal, but recording
demos, Lisa caught a break when a song of
hers was to be used on the Reality
Bites soundtrack. Soon, Lisa with her
band Nine Stories (consisting of Tim Bright,
Joe Quigley, and Jonathan Feinberg) were
topping the charts before landing a recording
contract - which came soon after with Geffen
Records.
