Jane's Addiction formed in 1986
in Los Angeles fronted by Perry Farrell
(formerly of Porno For Pyros)
along with Steve Perkins on drums, Eric Avery
on bass, and Dave Navarro on guitar. Farrell
also went on to start the successful package
tour Lollapolooza in 1990.

Previously unreleased music by
Jane's Addiction hit the stores - the LP, Kettle
Whistle, contained rare
tracks, live recordings, demos, and a new
track by the band, "Kettle
Whistle."
A North American tour followed
until the end of November with a new
configuration of members: Perry Farrell, Dave
Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Flea (original
bassist Eric A declined the
"reunion").
Critics of Rolling
Stone named the 'Relapse Tour' the
Best Tour of the Year.
Farrell won a temporary
restraining order to stop Internet sales of a
home sex video. Farrell was seeking $90
million in damages as well as an injunction
to keep the video and/or video portions of
the Internet.
