Ciara was born in Texas but grew
up predominately in Atlanta, Georgia. After
writing songs for other artists while still
in her teens and a short stint with a girl
group, Ciara broke out on her own with her
debut LP. She was dubbed the 'First Lady of
Crunk & B' by Lil Jon.
