Cam'ron was born February 4,
1976 and hails from Harlem in New York City.
The rapper, who went to school and played on
the basketball team with Mase in high school, lost
out on going to a top college on basketball
scholarships due to his academics. This led
Cam'ron to a short-live stint of college in
Texas before dropping out and getting
involved with the negative influences of the
streets. Cam'ron turned his focus to rap
music as a career after being introduced to
some influential rappers and distributors
resulting in recognition for his tracks
"Pull It" and "357."
