The Calling, from Southern
California, consists of Alex Band on vocals,
Aaron Kamin on guitar, Sean Woolstenhulme and
then Dino Meneghin on guitar, Billy Mohler on
bass, and Nate Wood on drums. The formation
of the band began with Kamin and Band
becoming friends while Kamin dated Band's
sister. The duo moved forward to form a group
which led to an eventual record deal with RCA
Records.
The Calling received some
recognition when they appeared in the film Coyote
Ugly performing " "Wherever You Will Go."."

helping out with vocals on Santana's "Why Don't You & I." The LP version
does not have Band's vocals.
