Blessid Union Of Souls consists of Eliot Sloan
(vocalist and piano), Jeff Spence (guitarist and
background vocalist), Eddie Hedges (percussionist),
C.P. Roth (keyboardist), and Tony Clark (bassist) and
hail from Cincinnati. The band members have been
playing together in various configurations since the
mid 1980s. When they finally formed Blessid Union Of
Souls, they recorded a demo which caught the
attention of EMI Records. The band says their sound
is influenced by country-blues combined with 70s soul
and southern rock.

Blessid Union Of Souls' first LP, Home, was released and gave the
band two Top 5 hits: "Let Me Be The One" and "I Believe." With the band's success, they
embarked on an 18 month tour across the U.S.
The song "I Believe" was honored at the annual ASCAP
Awards for being the fourth most played song of 1995.

After touring, Blessid Union Of Souls released their
second LP, Blessid
Union Of Souls.
The track "I Wanna Be There" hit the Top 40 and
became their third Top 10 hit. The band also
continued to gain a greater fanbase with their
romantic lyrics and harmonizing sound.

Blessid Union shortened their name (temporarily) and
hit the Top 10 with "Light In Your Eyes." The band donated
proceeds from that single to Give Kids The World,
which grants wishes to terminally ill children and
their families.
